Mediation

The 2009 ACAS Code of Practice recommends that:

“Employers and employees should always seek to resolve disciplinary and grievance issues in the workplace. Where this is not possible, employers and employees should consider using an independent third party to help resolve the problem.”

Mediation is a process where a neutral person works with people involved in a disagreement or conflict to help them find ways of reaching agreement to resolve the problem or improve the situation.
